Edward Bach’s definition of this remedy:

“The emergency remedy. The rescue remedy, even for cases that seem hopeless. For accidents or sudden illnesses, or when the patient is very frightened or terrified, or if the condition is severe enough to cause great fear in those nearby. If the patient is unconscious, the lips can be moistened with the remedy. Other remedies may also be needed in addition, for example, Clematis in cases of unconsciousness, which is a state of deep drowsiness; Agrimony, if there is torment, and so on.”
